RENEW Programs and Workshops
Renew offers workshops on building women's ministry programs, depending on your location and budget. We have a variety of qualified speakers and can design a day or half-day event that will give you information and encouragement to begin or expand a fruitful women's ministry. Topics: 1) Moving Out, Moving In, and Moving On: A Spiritual Make-Over for Your Life and Women's Ministry
An inspirational program done in 2 or 3 sessions suitable for a day event at your church. This program will challenge the women of your church to assess where they are in their spiritual lives both personally and communally through your women's ministry program. It will give them tools for deepening their walk with Jesus, strengthening their relationships with sisters in Christ, and serving others with joy and purpose.
2) Restoring the Locust Years: A Journey From Feminism to Faith
A powerful program suitable for a women's meeting or luncheon done in one session. This program explores the personal testimony of RENEW president Liza Kittle and how turning to Christ brought her from a life of sin and despair, saved a broken marriage and family, and set her on course to becoming the woman God intended. Women will be encouraged that no matter what their pasts may look like, God can redeem and give them an awesome future if they put the broken pieces of their lives in the hands of Jesus Christ.
3) Building and Bearing Fruit through a Transforming Women's Ministry Program
RENEW can design a special day event with featured speaker and break-out workshops to help your church begin or expand a women's ministry program just for your church. We help assess the needs of the women in your congregation and begin to prayerfully build a women's ministry program designed by God and led by women who serve with a passion and not just a position. Your church deserves a uniques women's ministry program that will enable your women to reach their potential in Christ and bear abundant fruit for the kingdom of God.
National Women's Events and ConferencesOne of the best ways to build bonds of sisterhood with women in your church is to "take a road trip"! RENEW will recommend women's conferences that we know offer sound biblical teaching, great praise and worship, and a spirit-filled atmosphere. If you are trying to start something new among the women of your church, we suggest getting a group together and checking out one of these regional conferences. Many of them offer discount rates for groups and multiple venues and dates across the country. National Spring Conference 2010
Celebration Women's Ministry, an official women's ministry of the North Texas conference, is a wonderful example of alternative women's ministry in the UMC. They hold a spring and fall event which are always uplifting and feature great speakers.
