Does your women's ministry need revitalization?

You are invited to move into the river of
God's love and blessing through
The River of God program book ...

Introducing …

The River of God Program Packet

Renew invites you to move into the river of God's love and blessing as epitomized in Ezekiel 47:1-12.  The prophet Ezekiel found himself first ankle deep, then knee-deep, next waist-deep, and finally immersed in a river that was "deep enough to swim in."  The messenger who accompanied Ezekiel described the life-giving elements of this river and told how it blessed everything in its path.

We have entitled this set of programs The River of God Program Packet because our earnest prayer is that these programs will bless all who use them and draw them into the river of God's presence and power.  These programs cover several program ministry areas: Prayer; Missions; Evangelism; Teaching and Mentoring Women; Ministry to the Sexually & Relationally Broken; Our Political & Social Witness as Christian Women; Discernment & Accountability; and Leadership.  In addition, we have included an "overflow" section comprised of several emphasis and seasonal programs.

The format for these programs is different from our previous releases.  This change is borne out of our desire to have these programs "flow" from beginning to end, prayerfully with the anointing of the Holy Spirit.  The program segments are as follows:

"The Invitation" -- This opening statement will introduce you to the program topic by creatively inviting you to enter into the flow of the program concept.  "The Invitation" is read aloud at the beginning of the program.

"Preparing the Heart" -- It is RENEW's desire that prayer, along with praise and worship, be an integral part of all program resources we offer for women.  For this reason, we have put this section up front.  "Preparing the Heart" incorporates the reading of Scripture along with praise and worship through music, reflection and prayer.

"Entering In" -- This is the heart of the program that is being offered for study.  It includes examining of Scripture passages and teaching material related to the specific program topic.

"Taking the Plunge" -- Taking the plunge means getting past the "ankle deep" experience to fully immersing ourselves in the program topic.  This is the life-application section of the program.
"Going Deeper" -- Going deeper means deciding to take specific steps to internalize the program concepts or to study more about them.  This section will offer handouts for small-group interaction or to take home.  Resource sheets will provide additional information for some of the programs.  Other programs will recommend books and resources for further study.

"The Preparation" -- This concluding section will need to be referenced prior to teaching the program lesson since it will contain the technical how-to-use or what-you-need information.

We strongly recommend that you begin your participation in the River of God program book by sharing the opening devotional, Take the Plunge, by Marilyn Anderes with your women's group.  (This devotional is posted on the "Devotional" page of our web site so you can get a head start.)

In his little book, The Prayer of Jabez, Bruce Wilkinson makes a bold challenge regarding the possibilities before us, "Instead of standing near the river's edge, asking for a cup of water to get you through the day ... jump into the river!  At that moment, you will begin to let the loving currents of God's grace and power carry you along."  We are asking God to use the River of God Program Packet to move women into that place of blessing.

To get a feel for the content of the program book, read the preview pages that follow for each of the programs.  Then, call and place your order, or download the order form, complete and send to RENEW.

Take the plunge!
